Liron smiled at the child " There's no need to low down your credits. You did very well, I'm very content of your helping, this act of yours will save us a lot time".
Nodding thoughtfully, he lean closer toward knife and smell the blood on it. It was waking his senses, opening his mind for connections no one but vampires and those bitten by them could feel. Connection of blood. While closing his eyes, he could feel the blood signatures around the house. He could sense two persons, one with blood similar to these on his knife, and something other.. Person who had mixed blood in bloodstream. A vampire.
" Your mother was here, in this room... One hour ago... Then.. One vampire came.. But it seems.. " Liron opened his eyes confused " It seems they stop in this spot for couple of minutes, and then, after minute of two, they simply took each other for a hand and walk outside.."
Liron tried to find some theory of what happened and why vampire would took unarmed women out of house when he could drank all of her blood without any witnesses around, but he came up with none...

"So she is alive?" Kaldir breathed out with some relief, but sounding uncertain still. "Can you follow where they went?" he asked, already gathering his things - a bow with arrows, and a hunting knife...
DragonRider3 said Aug 13, 2011 10:58:30
"Yup, she's alive. And yes, I could trace their track averagely, not completely with the same route, but with mistake of not more that 30 meters. I'm not vampire after all.. Just before it.. " he grinned " I wanna for sure find out how you're planing to use your weapons with that hurt hand? No, no, my boy, we will take care of it first! Or you wanna lose that much blood to collapse on my arms? " said elf with slight disapproving look on his face.
And with authoritative voice that left no place for resistance, he said:
" Give me your hand."
Mirach said Aug 13, 2011 11:10:03
Kaldir looked at him as if not understanding what the elf means. "You are speaking as if you would cut me much more deeply. It's shallow, and closing already. It doesn't even bleed anymore... I certainly would not collapse." The last sentence sounded slightly offended. "And it's no hinderance for me. But if you're going to insist, then here..." he extended his hand. "I don't wnat to lose any time with debating. And then you can track them in your way, and I will follow the trail on the ground to make sure."
DragonRider3 said Aug 13, 2011 11:24:03
"There, there", said Liron taking look at his hand" I don't wanna cut you more. I know you got the point there. But even if it's small it could open easily in fight. And even if not bleed, it surely hurts a little bit, and healing it would make you more concentrated in tracking, would it? And of course, my boy, there is also a little, but important catch! " elf grinned as he watched Kaldir right into eyes. " Vampire can sense one drop of blood shed in a mile. Probably sensed this one too, as a small pressure in his nostrils. And we wouldn't like to make his job easier, would we? " Liron gave child one more of his bright smiles, the one at which even grow up persons just couldn't say "no".
Mirach said Aug 13, 2011 11:29:33
"Of course..." Kaldir looked impatient. "You have a point too, but could you do it quicky so we can be on the way before my mother gets hurt? We have talked long enough already."
DragonRider3 said Aug 13, 2011 11:45:39
"All right" without longer delay he started waving around cut on Kaldir's hand, and green glow appeared, covering the edges of the wound. In no more than a 30 seconds, damage done by knife was no longer noticeable. Unlike slight sweat on elf's face.
" That should do it. Now, hurry, we must leave. I'll start the tracing of my own following the signature of movement, but traditional tracking would be very useful too. " Liron explained while he was decisively, but with less spiritedness, opening the door and steeping toward, to him not, but to his companion known forest landscape.
Mirach said Aug 13, 2011 12:10:19
"I just hope doing this won't make *you* less concentrated..." Kaldir muttered when he watched Liron's face, but then he bowed his head slightly. "Thank you." With that, he followed Liron outside, looking for tracks. There were too many in the soil near the house, including his, and so he started tracking first when they were some distance from the house, with Liron giving the direction. There he already could see a faint track in the forest floor, and he followed it, sometimes taking a different route than Liron, but generally keeping in the same direction as the elf.

Without any wish to spend time on saying that there's no need for thanking, and not wishing to take time they got for granted, just as child said, Liron continued their way without any word. Even if his strength was slowly recovering after too fast healing, he still wasn't able to think clearly - that would explain why he jet couldn't came up with nothing that would refute the evidences that were growing, and saying that women was "willingly" following vampire, without any resistance.
" Could it be possible " asked Liron insecurely after some time " that your mother have vampire friend? I don't know about yours, but mine tracks are saying she is not resisting... "
Mirach said Aug 13, 2011 19:06:57
"She isn't..." Kaldir confirmed, not knowing what to think about it. "But I have never met a vampire before, and she didn't tell about any vampires either, so I doubt it's her friend. At least her step is steady and even - she is not hurt. But I don't know what is going on..."
